The
raw food diet consists of raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and sprouts in
their uncooked state. Even raw
dairy may be included, to that which is
unpasteurised but there are also precautions with this. Which is why most
raw foodists leave this out and make their own nut and seed milks but
more about this later.
Cooking these foods destroys and somewhat
kills the enzymes needed to keep your digestive tract in order and keep
you healthy. Cooking also minimises the vitamin and mineral content in
most of these foods which leaves it open to fermentation in the stomach
and less absorbency of vital nuitrients. Not to mention that pesticidal fresh produce
already depletes most of the vitamin content. Organic produce will give
you 20 times more the vitamin and mineral content then pesticidal fruit
and veggies. If you cannot afford organic fruit then simply wash all
your produce more thoroughly to remove its pesticide residue.
You can get your calcium simply by making nut and seed milks. Such as
almond milk, seasame seed milk and others such as sunflower seed milk.
All you need is a blender, seive(nut milk bag). Ingredients and how to
do it can be found in websites from google search. Demonstrations are
also shown on youtube.
People who are on the raw food diet experience a new found lifestyle to
which they feel better, are more vibrant, have clearer thoughts and
mind, look younger, lost weight, reduced risk of diseases, cured or prevented most
diseases i.e cancer, balanced hormones, less depression and fatigue and
so on.
If this sound like you irritable, tired, low in energy,
overweight, underweight, suffer from many incurable diseases, looking
old, rough skin etc. Then i recommend you give the raw food diet a go.
However not everyone can do this diet completely and there are programs
where you can be 50%-90% raw and the rest cooked. Best to consult your
doctor before starting any diet program.

raw food forums, books, dvd's, Alyssa Cohen, Carol Alt, David Wolfe,
The boutenko family, Gabriel Cousens, Leslie Kenton and Natalia Rose. Mosts sites and towns have
potlucks. If you search google for these people you will come across a myriad of information for your perousal.
