Writing for something we cant see or we didn’t witness while taking place, is a very difficult task for any writer to do. In this way, I should be forgiven if I shall use fables in a
place of facts or arm-chair thinking in a place of experimental results/find outs.
The fundamental starting point of this inquiry as I prefer to call rather than investigation, (since we investigate things which at least we can see or touch and inquire for something we cant comprehend.), lies on the
father of modern genetics, Gregor Mendel. The Gods
creation in most cases, ‘follows’ Mendelian fashion! I sometimes hesitate to mention that its either Mendelian fashion or God’s creation that follow one another but all I can say for now is that , at least there may be some meetings of minds between these two ‘people’ when they both focused about creation. I should be understood from the start that my discussion doesn’t intend to magnify Mendel, as a supernatural man, but to place him as an inventor of God’s work of creation.
To talk something about Mendel, he stated that when an offspring is formed, there must be some
hereditary materials that are transferred from parent/s to offspring and it is these hereditary material (genes ) that carries the instruction or a definition of how will the
baby look like. He also added that these
genes or hereditary materials can never be
created nor destroyed but they are passed from one generation to another. In simple language Mendel was talking that there is some sort of bank of genes (gene pool) where if God want to make a baby must go there and select some genes which are fit for His purpose.
Lets say now if God wants to create some one, the first thing he considers is the future of the subject. This is important to him so that his creation shouldn’t be a failure and important to some one who is created because it will give one some basic features for adaptations to his environment. Some one may ask me, why God focuses for the future life of some one so as to make him/her? And my response would be that, if God made man and life, you must be sure that he also created ways to live. In this way you can see even beggars are able to live in expensive cities while they continue to access their basic needs. So in order for you to have features that will help you to strive, he must put them in you at the time of creation. That is why you can hear from some one, this is an inborn characteristic or ability.
Lets say now that God is thinking of creating a basket baler. The adaptation feature of a basket baler is that, he should be tall, muscular and with sharp brain. In this way, he will visit a gene pool to search for those features and join them. He can take a trait of tall height from a grand father, a gene of strong muscles from a baby’s mother, and a gene of quick sharp mind from a father. That is why it is not necessary for a baby to look exactly like his own parents. Some times a baby might have eyes like that of a grand mother, a smile like of her mother and a face like of his father. This is because God joins different types of genes available in a gene pool which is of a people related by blood. That is why the process of creation is not easy at all. In the way genes are arranged, there Is a possibility of a baby to be in more than eight million shapes, but God just select one out of those and complete his creation.
