Meditation is a subtle process for exorcising thoughts and getting the
mind cleaned. You are keen on keeping your home clean but why don’t you think about getting your mind cleaned on a daily basis.
The
moment you stop cleaning your kitchen you see the room cluttered and dirty; then you can’t feel at home. The feeling of being at home at any moment, at any place , in all situations is all about
Meditation. If you are able to develop your focusing on your thoughts until you understand that you are free from all mind games then It will be the beginning of all miracle in your
life , as a result you will start to enjoy every moment not as sequel but as some thing new. Again , every morning will be a birth day , so you can open your eyes to the morning sun as though you were a child with all the innocence and beauty. One can be a child inspite one is well into middle age , provided the he or she is having the mind got cleaned .So in short meditation is all about cleaning. When I put it so please don’t jump into conclusions that one has to over work to chase thoughts as if the city officials do with stray dogs.
There are several misunderstanding about meditation, what is it all about? Let me tell in a nut shell it is not a work as most people think, rather it is state of
doing nothing and containing our vital energy in us. When the mind begins to move there is energy
lose and each
thought drains mind of its precious energy. There arises a question how can this non thinking state be possible? This non- thinking state is an innate potential of humanity but somehow we lose thus we are comfortably miserable for we have all material affluence except peace of mind.
How can we retrieve this lost glory (In Bible the lose of paradise actually speaks, however, by way of snake story , about the state of calmness that humans once enjoyed).So it is a state of doing nothing and remain calm and composed like a stone, with out any mind moving, visualization, comparing , contrasting , and all such thought process. In their stead one should start to observe mind closely. It would tell the practitioner the miraculous transformation being set in.
But when it comes to the practical side of it I can say one thing the most difficult thing for all people is how to sit with out doing anything. When our physical movements are so intense for it involves several actions a day, then we are not so much bothered about mind. The moment we sit ceasing all physical action it doesn’t mean that we are at total rest. In most cases it may end up as the opportune moment for the mind to raise its curtains for the thought-drama.
When you begin to practice meditation you can understand that the train of thoughts in mind is decreasing in number.
