Giving birth to a child is generally associated with hours of endless pain and anxiety . Pregnancy is supposed to be a boon
in the disguise of discomfort , tiredness, loss of apetite,stress,insomnia,pain and anxiety .However, with the advent of painless under water child deliveries of pregnant women , the scenario has widely changed for betterment.comments like " It was an amazing feeling by 29 year old Prachi Agarwal, who had a "water birth" for her second child in June this year are noteworthy.She says her daughter Tavishi , was born under water and in few minutes swarm up to latch on to her .She says with ease that the under water birth was almost painless. Though in India , Its an emerging concept , this phenomenon is fast gaining momentum.This concept is being popularized as the number of Ceaserian deliveries have gone up drastically , which explains the necessity to introduce  this less painful methodology of child birth.The method relieves pressure on the joints and muscels and creates a relaxing sense of weightlessness .However ,a leading gynaecologist is of the opinion that under water deliveries has its pros as well  cons.She says though the pain is relatively easy to handle under warm water , the process nevertheless is not entirely painless.Under water births have time and again reared controversies , as many of well known in the medical fraternity have categorically stated that under water birth could lead to complications for the newborn such as that of Aphyxia (suffocation due to water) , moreover it is difficult to monitor the patient''s heart beat if she is in water .However , inspite of all this , the phenomenan is fast gaining momentum among the upper middle class and the elite society in India. Afterall, which mom-to-be would not like to undergo a less painful and stressful  child delivery
