Avacado Hair Conditioner
Rich and buttery, avocados are full of natural oils and protein that will restore moisture to dry summer hair, making it stronger and more flexible. If you have dry or color-treated hair, leave out the lemon juice in this recipe. Use this conditioning hair pack weekly to help keep your hair soft and healthy.

Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado, mashed
2 tablespoons sour cream or plain yogurt
Juice of half a lemon (optional)
Directions:
Mix together all Ingredients and blend into a smooth paste. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp, then wrap hair in a warm towel or plastic shower cap. Let the mixture soak into your hair for 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water, and shampoo and style as usual.

Strawberry Facial Mask
Strawberries make a wonderful cleansing and skin softening facial mask because they contain salicylic acid—which rids the skin of dead cells, allowing it to absorb moisture and look healthy and radiant. Salicylic acid is also a key ingredient in many commercial acne creams, making this facial mask a natural cure for summertime breakouts.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon fresh milk
1 tablespoon rice flour or cornstarch

Directions:
Mash together all the ingredients to make a smooth paste. Spread over your face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat your skin dry.

Yields: Four ounces, enough for one or two strawberry facial masks
Cranberry Lip Gloss
Fresh cranberries give this Gloss a hint of color and a natural tart flavor. All it takes are three ingredients and about ten minutes to create a perfect pot of tasty gloss.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon honey

Directions:
Mix together all ingredients and place them in a heat safe container. Heat in the microwave or stovetop until the mixture just begins to boil. Stir well and gently mash the berries. Let sit for five minutes. Strain the mixture and allow to cool completely. When cool, spoon into a clean container. To use: spread a small amount onto your lips.
Yields: ½ ounce.
