During
summer in a tropical island, the rays of the sun are much
stronger. Unless you take proper
protection, you could
end up getting sunburnt.
Before you leave your home, be sure to apply a sun-block cream or lotion with a
high SPF. But the product must be applies at least half-an-hour before you step
out in the sun. You sweat more in the
summer, so skin is less supple. Besides, salt
water and chlorine have a drying effect. The best natural care for your skin is
to make sure you are adequately hydrated. Drink at least eight glasses of water
a day and even more when you are outside. If you do get a sunburn by staying
outdoors for long periods of time, apply a lotion containing aloe vera. This
will cool and soothe your skin and help you heal faster. For a quick skin boost
in the sun, fill a misting bottle with a little bit of toner and water, and
spritz your face and body for a quick cool-off. Just remember to close your
eyes so you don''''t risk burning them.
