Consequences of Alcoholism in the Scope of the Work: One knows that, in Brazil, alcoholism is the third reason for absenteeism
in the work, the cause most frequent of precocious retirements and accidents in the work and the eighth cause for concession of aid illness for the Social welfare (Vaissman, 2004). In the scope of the work, the
organizations come despertando its interests for the development of strategies and implantation of preventive programs to the improper use of the alcohol and other drugs. What it motivates these actions are the negative
consequences brought to the health of the worker and its production, absenteeism that keeps to a direct relation with the alcohol consumption and the quality of life of the worker. Alcoholism can then be considered as a problem in the organizations, and its consequences can be perceived observing the following aspects in the behavior of the workers (Vaissman, 2004): the Absenteeism; the Industrial accidents; the Accidents of passage; the diverse Complaints in relation to the health; the Increase of imperfections in the execution of the tasks; the Reduction of the productivity; the Conflicts with colleagues, superiors and customers. Conditions of Work that Favor the Development of Alcoholism: In a case study, Nassif (2002) raised some hypotheses on as the organization and the work conditions can contribute for the incidence and the prevalence of the pictures of chemical dependence between workers. Summarizing, the on factors of risk to the work can be inherent to the especificidade of the occupation. Programs of Prevention and Recovery of Alcoholism in the Organizations: Edwards (1995) affirms that in the last years she has had an interest in the multiple benefits that can result in such a way for the employer how much for the employee, of the implantation of programs of alcoholism in the workstations. The importance of programs of alcoholism in companies must be dealt with as global health the individual, and still observing itself that to prevent and to deal with problems health it diminishes costs and it improves the productivity. It is important to especially recognize the difficulties that follow the attendance the chemical dependents, in companies. The attendance the users of drugs excites multiples problems, of biological and medical, psychological, social, legal and ethical order. In the workstations the estigmatizações and preconceptions add it this due to the negative connotations related to the dependence of the alcohol, diminishing the search for the offered services, as well as making it difficult the continuity of the treatment. The worker verifies itself that many programs do not reach extracts highest in the hierarchy, only less qualified, subject to sanctions to discipline. Moreover, the alcoolizante cultural trend also must be considered to if elaborating a program. It cannot be boarded of the point of view of a moralizante ideal. The programs are of great importance for the organizations worried about the health of its workers and the good performance of its activities.
