There are different kinds ofheart
disorders.Among them the following are important.Congental heart disese, rheumatic heart
disease, hypertensive heart disease, coronary heart disease and
pulmonary heart disease. The doctor says that a HEALTHY HEART is a matter of personal choice gives patients the nutrition secrets, exercise principles, anti smoking measures and relaxation techniques that can lead to a healthy heart.
In thecongenital heart disease this disorder arises out of defects in the structural formation of the heart in the foetus. These defects are present from birth. Most of them are due to maternal smoking, maternal viral infection and x-ray and infrared radiation.Sometimes some drugs taken during the first three months of pregnancycauses these defects.Women during pregnancy should avoid or appropriately treat the above conditions, which cause defects in the development of the heart.Early diagnosis will pave way for successful surgical correction ofthe defect.
In the rheumatic heart disease this disorder arises due to repeated attacks of sore throats and inflammation of tonsils, which led to affliction of three layersof heart. The internal structures which guard the passage of blood from one chamber to another and from chamber to the great arteries, are known as valves, which get affected producing rheumatic valvular heart diseases, streptococcal infections, poor nutrition, vitaminn C deficiency, overcrowding etc are blamed as predisposing conditions for the rheumatic heart
disorders.Even though the incidences of rheumatic heart disorders are lss, they are effectively treated by theuse of suitable antibiotics and surgical procedures.
In the hypertensive heart disease which is very common nowadays occurs due to increased blood pressure that has deleterious effects on heart muscles and heart blood vessels. The successful maintenanceof normal blood pressure and by appropriate lifestyle modification measures will be helpful for the prevention of hypertensive heart disease.
In the coronary heart disease we see that it is caused by clogging of the arteries that carry blood to the heart and thisconstitutes 95 percent of the heart diseases. This group of heart disorders can bedealt in terms of causes, risk factors, types, methods of presentation, diagnosis, complications, management and preventive aspects of CAD.
In the pulmonary heart disease which is especially on the right side of the heart is due to chronic lung diseases like chronic bronchitis andemphysema is known as pulmonary heart disease or corpulmonale (enlargement of the right ventricle of the heart due to diseaseof the lungs or of the pulmonary blood vessels.) The correction of underlying lung disease will correct the right side heart disorders.
Ischaemic heart disease, coronary artery disease,or coronary heart disease is most important heart disease that leads to increased morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Its incidence is increasing in India also.In this disease, the coronary arteries become obstructed or narrowed. They can no longer supply enough blood to meet the hearts requirement for oxygen and glucose to function properly. The narrowing is usually due to deposition of cholestrol and fat in the inner smooth lining of these blood vessels. This narrowing is usually called atherosclerosis.
The common term for atherosclerosis is hardeningof arteries. The condition is characterised by the built -up of plaque ( deposits containing cholestrol, other fats, complex carbohydrates etc ) within the interior walls of the artery.Over a period of time, this causes the artery wall to swell, partially blocking the space through which blood flows. Thus the plaque formed, compromises the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the heart.
well my dear friends you all can keep yourheart healthy by just keeping in mind few things.Firstly reduce fat. A certainamount of fat is good for a well balanced diet but reduce the amount of fat and the type of fat you eat. Saturated fat affects bloodcholestrollevels.so try to eat less full fat dairy products, cakes, cookies, pasteries and burgers and replace with monosaturated fats such as olive and rapeseed oil, nuts and avocado pears.Polyunsaturated fats in small amount helps reduce cholesterol so oilyfish (salmon, sardines) and oils like sunflower, corn and soya are good.eat less salt, exercise and
PLEASE STOP SMOKING.
