COCONUT OIL: THE MOTHER OF ALL OIL  There have been debates which oil is the best for health. My opinion is that
oil, which is found in the natural habitat where the people live, is the best for health. For example coconut oil is good for kerala people because it is the natural habitat of coconut. But unfortunately there is a wrong concept that coconut oil is not good for health but truth is reverse. SREE CHITRA INSTITUITE FOR MEDICAL SCIENDES, UNDER THE DEPT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA CONDUCTED A STUDY.463 HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS AND 552 CARDIAC PATIENT WITHIN 25 TO 65 AGE LIMITS WHERE CHOSEN FOR STUDY.THE SUBJECT WERE GROUPED AS THOSE WHO USE COCONUT OIL THOSE WHO USE ALL TYPES OF OIL. AFTER VARIOUS TESTS IT WAS FOUND THAT THE AVERAGE CHOLESTROL LEVEL WAS SIMILAR AMONG BOTH GROUPS.ALSO, THE AVERAGE TRIGLYCERIDES LEVEL WAS SIMILAR BETWEEN BOTH GROUPS. IN CARDIAC PATIENTS, CONSUMPTION OF COCONUT OIL ALONG WITH NORMAL DIET DID NOT ELEVATE TOTAL OR LDL CHOLESTROL LEVELS. MORE OVER, THE AVERAGE TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS FOR THE GROUP “WHICH ONLY USED COCONUT OIL” WERE BELOW. GODDNESS OF COCONUT OIL Medium chain fats n coconut oil are similar to the fats in mother’s milk. Lauric acid, important among the medium chain fatty acids present in coconut oil ·        Has character similar to that of mother’s milk. ·        More over when lauric acid enters human body it gets converted to monolaurin, which has capacity to enhance our immunity. ·        Coconut oil has 40%lauric acid, which has high anti-viral activity, fights pathogenic microorganism, including bacteria, yeast nd fungi. COCNUT OIL IS ALSO USEFUL IN VARIOUS OTHER ASPECTS 1.      DIETS such as coconut oil which contain medium chain triglycerides results in increase in energy, a rise in metabolism and reduce body weight.cocout oil has fewer calories than any other fat so it helps in reducing body fat and lowering weight. 2.      Coconut oil enchances hairs luster and keep it shiny and bouncy. It has been scientifically proved that continuous use of coconut oil can reduce –HAIR LOSS BY 50% AND LOSS OF PROTEIN FROM HAIR BY 25% 3.      DIETS MADE OF COCNUT OIL IS TREAT TO YOUR PALATE 4.      COCONUT OIL IS RICH IN FIBRE CONTENT. If you want to protect yourself from any heart disease, make sure that you add good quantities of fiber in diet. 5.      Virgin coconut oil is rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants thus making it mother of all oils.
