A dusty weather means that our eyes if not protected by eye glasses, will get filled by these dust.
But in some developing countries(the poor ones), eye glasses are seen as luxury for the rich, and thus there is no protection to the eyes during dusty weather.
The result is increase in eye related problems, and sometimes, total blindness- all depending on the foreign material which lodged in the victim's eye.
To prevent your eye getting troubled by specks, here are some tips on how to deal with them:
i. Do not rub your eye when you encounter specks. rubbing the eye can lead to more severe problems.
ii.Instead of rubbing your eye,open it wide and keep your face downward for some minutes.
iii.Often you can get a bit of dirt or sand out of the eye by flooding the eye with clean water or by using the tip of some moist cotton.
iv.If you cannot get the particle out easily, use an antibiotic eye ointment, cover the eye with a bandage, and go for medical help.
