Drinking juices, prepared from fruits and vegetables, on a regular
basis dramatically reduces the chances for developing Alzheimer''s
disease. Researchers in Japan and US observed about 2,000 Dementia-free volunteers for up to 10 years while monitoring their consumption of fruit and
vegetable juices. The risk of Alzheimer''s was reduced by 76 per cent for those who drank juices more than three times a week, compared to those who consumed less than once a week. Studies have suggested that polyphenols, the strong antioxidants found in fruit and vegetable juices, might help to disrupt the biological processes in the brain that lead to the development of Alzheimer''s disease.
