The earlest sympton was hair loss. It began with me when I was around the age of ten years old. For years
that was treated with heavy doses of vitiman B. Please note that I am fifty seven years old so that was in the early sixties. I think not much was known about thyroid problems then. When I had my first son I had a total hair loss all over my body. Some hair has growqn back on my head but not enough to cover my head.
When I began my periods I had to be on birth control pills because they would not stop.I have had two sons. Both were by c-section because I could only dilate to 8 and stop.
Tiredness! That is something that has been with me all my life even as child I was plagued with it. It really showed up in my high school years. When I got married I told my
husband all about my problem. He used to come the back door and yell all clear because he knew that if I was full of energy I would be cleaning life crazy.
Forgetfulness showed up after my husband died of a heart attack in 1993. At first
I thought it was because of the many health problems that began to surface.
Memories seem to be the victim here. Now that I am on Armour thyroid medicine the memories are coming back but slowly.
Depression really has hit hard the last fourteen years. Guilt over many things that I had no control of plays into it. People not wanting to understand that you have an illness even if you appear to be okay. Depression has many symptons some you would not believe. Recently I have started taking liquid vitamin B complax with a large amount of B12. It seems to be helping.
