Walk. Walk aimlessly, mindful of your breathing and smiling with your body. You are able to do it in your yard, in your neighborhood or at home. Change your attitude and enhance your physical and psychological well-being. Start a connection with your spirituality as you walk. You are going to feel invigorated and self-esteemed. In a
walking therapy or walking meditation, it’s not important to know where you are going, other than be mindful of where you are at the
moment. Though, it’s important to change the
rhythm and speed of your steps now and then. I suggest you to start faster than the habitual and
slow down and go faster again; do it in such a way that at the end of your ride, you will be walking as slow as possible without losing your balance. Walk in silence. Ignore the outside world, as well as your internal one. This is not a moment to think about
problems, bills or any other issues. Put your mind as blank as you can get. Keep your eyes aware of everything around you, but looking at nothing. This is a very special moment where you are dedicating to you and your own universe. Go home, take a shower and enjoy your day. I am sure you will feel much better. The problems are certainly going to be there, in the same place you left them when you went for your walk, but the way you are going to
face them, I assure you, is going to be quite different. I was able to cure my depressed mind, and face my journey through life in a very positive way, since I started doing my walking meditation everyday. You can do it. There are no side effects and it’s free! Discover your inner power, feel yourself closer to the universe, connect to your spirituality and feel stronger to face your challenges. You are going to find out, that life is like a big school, where we learn everyday. And as a big school, we need to be prepared. Walk. Walk. Walk.
