or gouty arthritis is a disease characterized by a very painful inflammation of a joint, as of a great toe, and an excess of uric acid in the blood. However, I'm an Asian male. I was 30years old then when I realized that I have a gout. In the beginning, I just woke up one day, with my left great or big toe in so much pain, and I wasn't even aware what causes the pain and swelling, I cannot walk at that time. Although, I tried walking the normal way but I cannot really advance my feet on the floor for it was so so painful that I cannot do anything but to stay & lie on my bed.
That experience occured during when I was not in my home country. I was working then in other country when it all happened. That's why I handled the case just all by myself. One day, I decided to see a doctor to seek a temporary medicine to ease the pain in my great toe was and so after giving the medicine, I was relieved of the pain..
And so it happened over and over again, until the doctor finally diagnosed me having a Gout arthritis.
The doctor did not explain further what it was all about and considering that I also did not have sufficient information what a gout is.
According to my research on the internet, Gout arthritis, is a form of arthritis caused by deposits of needle-like-crystals of uric acid in the big toe. I really wonder why I was able to have that kind of disease considering my age (I'm on my 30's now).. The record shows that usually only men on their 60's and 70's up get the gouty (but thanks God, it's a curable one). Although, there are also some cases in women.
Through my in-depth research and analysis on the said disease, people experiencing the so-called gouty arthritis especially the men, should avoid foods rich in protein especially animal livers. Drink a lot of water in a day will help the patient a lot and never never drink wines or any liquors of any kind in your life for it might attack you with the pain again.
So far, I have found out that taking 2 to 3 cups of coffee in a day is a very effectively proven idea ...Just remember these: avoid eating protein-rich foods, never drink wines, drink plenty of water, and drink some cups of coffee that will surely lower gout risk and will prevent future attacks.
