Psychologists claim that most of the diseases have their origin in the mind. And , if the mind is taken care of, the physical ailments will be cured on their own. One such therapy that believes in this philosophy is flower therapy. Also called Bach flower remedies. Unlike the regular systems of medicine, the therapy is used primarily for emotional and spiritual well-being. It is used after diagnosing the psychological symptoms and the medicines given to the patient can cure physical problems as well. It works for children, pregnant women and old people too Flower therapy deals with wide range of problematic behavioral traits- right from uncertainty, low grasping power, bed wetting problems in children, to workaholic nature, post delivery stress, hallucination and many other problems. The medicines are manufactured from extracts (not essence) of different flowers. They are available in different forms like liquid or tablets, and can be taken along with the routine counseling. Flower therapy has no side-effects. If administered correctly, it elevates the mood and keeps stress at bay. The results may not be instant like allopathy, but are comparatively quick- from 2 to 3 weeks to 2 to 3 months. A majority are students who suffer from stress, lack of concentration and memory-related issues. While people are increasingly waking up to the importance of alternate therapies, flower therapy could go a long way in promoting their emotional well-being
