MASSAGE.... the first word that enters your mind upon hearing this word is relaxation; stress-relief! Everybody
seems to need this especially that stress afflicts any age at this generation. At work, in business, family, community, and even young students are bombarded with different levels of stress. But do you choose to make this affect you, and live an anxious life, or would you choose to handle different stress with style??
Let me quickly share to you a personal experience. Life years ago, I used to manage one of the top beauty centers in my country. I was connected with an ideal company, stayed in a glamorous office, received an excellent compensation, and can travel to europe, asia, and different islands in the philippines with the money that I earned. But with the perks I was earning equates to the terrible pressure at work. That's when i discovered massage. Due to headaches from work, I felt the need to visit a spa twice a week to feel good.. for the entire stay with the company. So when I decided to quit, I know very well what I want to do next. I initially put up my own spa, then eventually underwent intensive training in massage, and shifted into the best profession I have ever known, MASSAGE
THERAPIST. Three years had past, and since then, I never looked back!!
I
encounter different clients... happy, problematic, quiet, jolly, anxious. But 99% of the time, no matter in what disposition they may have for the day, they go out of my treatment room with a happy smile. And even our spa charges 5 times more than an ordinary place, I encounter some individuals who keep on coming back for five to six consecutive days. I wouldn't say that I'm better than any massage therapist, but one training I keep in my mind is that I make connection with my clients. I don't just give them some massage, but I ask them about their aches and pain in their body, about their activities and diet, about their lifestyle in general. Then I make advices at the end of the session. As a result,I didn't just gain another client,but another member to the list of my friends.
So.. if an apple a day keeps a doctor away... A MASSAGE A WEEK KEEPS THE HOSPITAL AWAY.
