The Flu jab

Article Abstract by: kipperseason

National Vaccine Information Center Says: Studies Fail to Demonstrate Safety or Effectiveness of Influenza Vaccine in Children
and Adults; Calls for Influenza Vaccine Policy Change( extract from INFECTION CONTROL TODAY MAGAZINE - 31/10/2006 )So then, a vaccine that is recommended for so called 'vulnerable' people.........  may not be safe or effective. Scary stuff! There is a school of thought that believes that we only become ill because of an acid/ alkaline imbalance in our bodies. So consider this then - and this may challenge some of your convictions and beliefs, but please humour me...........  The flu season arrives here in the UK during, or just after, the Christmas holiday period, normally a time of extreme weather conditions. The human body has to work harder to compensate for the effects these extremes have on our natural defences. What other extremes do we have during this time? Plenty of extra responsibilities in the 'run up' to Xmas, shopping, planning for celebrations, that's on top of everyday stuff - adding up to stress with a capital 'S' . Negative emotions contribute greatly to the acid levels we create in the environment of our bodies.Office parties come up around this time too, and celebrations with friends and family ....... both the ones that you like and the ones you don't. Even if you're partial to the odd alcoholic beverage this is a time of high levels of consumption for most people. Like it or not, alcohol is pure poison in acid terms and contributes to the over-acidity of our bodies. So in the run-up to Xmas we may be burning the candle at both ends, enjoying excessive amounts of food and alcohol, maybe smoking cigarettes (another acid addiction), putting up with irritating people that we only have to suffer at times like these. (frustration, resentment, anger - all acid forming) Xmas arrives and after a few drinks with the in-laws we sit down to; turkey; pork; gammon; (all protein, acid forming) potatoes, gravy, oh, and because it's Xmas a couple of brussell sprouts (something alkaline at last)........ which nobody eats. After we're done we only make it as far as the sofa. Can't eat another thing? Xmas pudding? Mince pies?, cream?, (more acid)......OK!  - Wash that down with a nice cup of coffee (acid) maybe a brandy (acid) or both!Ever wondered why you can hardly move after that feast? Your body is shutting down, struggling to process the volume of food you just consumed, not least because it is largely acid forming.Well, it is Xmas, we're allowed to overdo it a bit, aren't we. Tomorrow we'll just drink loads of water, have a light salad, give the body a chance to recover. But do we? What about the left overs? Turkey sandwiches, mince pies. During the course of the next week we eat all the food we bought in for Xmas, plus that we ate doing the rounds of family/friends in the run-up to New Years eve! - another Party!  Another huge feast on New Years day. Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy this time as much as anyone but when you total it up, we create such huge amounts of acid in the system from the stress of the events; the food and drink we consume; cigarettes, etc...  should we be surprised that our bodies struggle to cope with processing this waste. So, Happy New Year and what next?...... it's the flu season. Why it is, that although it's flu season, not everyone gets the flu? What are some of the Symptoms of Flu? vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever (sweating) and chills, body aches and pains, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, tiredness....... Would you agree with me that these are also the symptoms of a body that's been poisoned? Could it be that the terrain of the body has been so seriously compromised, that the acid environment we have created provides the perfect conditions for germs and parasites to thrive. Now the party is going on....  on the inside! Do you see the connection here? There is only so much the body can do to protect us. What we now eat is unnatural for us, compared to tens of thousand's of years of evolution where the primary food source would have been high in fibre, rather than protein and sugar and alcohol wouldn't have been there at all. The conclusion I've arrived at is this; That if we maintain the alkaline balance our bodies need we have nothing to fear from bugs attacking us. Yet if we continue to compromise the environment of our bodies we provide the ideal conditions for germs; yeast and parasites to thrive. If we continue to do that we set ourselves up for a steady decline in health, premature aging and debilitating disease. We should alkalize and energize our bodies by increasing our intake of foods and drinks that contribute to the alkaline environment our bodies need to maintain good health. Wheat grass as a supplement helps - and it's a simple addition to your diet.
