"Pacemaker" is an
instrument used to provide proper pacing to
heart i.e. this instrument provides stimulation
impulses to heart muscle when natural
Pacemaker of heart(sino-atrial node) is not properly functioning.it has basically two parts:
1) An electronic unit to generate stimulating impulses and is
known as
pulse generator.It generates impulses of known rate and amplitude.
2) The lead that carries these impulses to heart.it has termination which connects to pulse
generator and insulation conductors which interface with electrodes and terminate within the heart.
