Dental Emergency!

Article Review   by:SM THOMPSON     Original Author: SM Thompson

I phoned the Dental Helpline outside the Dental Surgery Door, I got advice on what to do in a Dental Emegency .. my Crown expensively fitted 5 years ago by a private Swedish dentist had popped out leaving me with a huge bleeding hole in my mouth.  I followed Dental Nurse Emergency Advice and dashed into Boots in Southampton and got a pack to stick it in again and managed to stick it it but it "fell" loose!  I called back on Sunday morning and followed advice .......contact dentist on Monday am sharp!
I got a magazine for Southampton and called the National Helpline having got through to the Pension Service who gave me the number in the first place ... the National Helpline advised me to check with the Dental Nurse Emergency Service for a NSH Dentist and then take the paperwork over to them first thing on Monday morning and arrange an appointment.  I phoned back the Emergency Dental Helpline in Hampshire and arranged an appointment with an NHS Dentist in my area .. the University of Southampton Area ........... and got an appointment mid week, meanwhile the National Helpline advised taking the updated paperwork with me (until recently it came under the Official Secrets Act 1966) and got taken to check my emergency and it was serious so I had an extraction plus fillings plus a clean up dental emergency and then I had to present the paperwork myself.  The pain was painful, and the hole in my jaw ... massive, the bleeding continued so I phoned the NHS Dentist and blocked with a pile of cotten wool which worked for me and then I followed the NHS Guideline Sheets and have not eaten a single bite in a month but the pain in my teeth has stopped and it looks as if, I am on the way to full recovery thanks to the NHS Dentist in my University Area ... and I have a follow UP appointment next June 2011 .. I AM A POET AND I AM A BEST SELLER in motion! Nice work!
