I was on the brink of getting all of the remaining teeth I had pulled and replacing them with dentures until I was online one day and Googled, cheap cosmetic dental, and the doors began to open. I found Dr. Alberto Coto, at Dental Implants and Cosmetic Solutions, www.bestpricedentistry.com . I immediately called their toll free number listed and within 12 hours I had the dentist speaking with me with a xray of my dental issues in his hand.....Ok Americans, how often does this happen? I know of some dentist that have been treating our entire family and getting the Dr, on the phone is next to impossible without being pre-screened by a secretary, dental assistant and then maybe the doctor will call. Well, not the case with Dr. Alberto Coto's office. I was so impressed I asked for a estimate after he saw my xrays. I had it the very next day. I knew it was meant for me to have my way over-due dental issues solved, and Costa Rica was the place to go.
I began what I thought was to be a short planning period, only to find I had issues that I had to clear up so I could obtain a passport to travel......
As I took care of business, I was contacted weekly by Algar who works with Dr. Coto, he would call and ask how I was and checking to see when I may be traveling.
It ended up costing me over 3500.00 just getting passport issues from 10 yrs ago handled, and now I am worried I didnt have enough money to get all I needed done with Dr. Coto. I called him with this concern. You will be shocked to hear this from a dentist if you have had any of the dental issues I have , he said, Mr. Clayton, I will not just do a few crowns and leave the others undone, I would rather do it right. I will just reduce my fee to suit your situation rather than do a mediocre job....Right then I knew God had placed this dentist in my life for a reason. He was NOT just about the money, rather he deeply expressed concern for my current dental problems and wanted my smile to be perfect when he was done and not half-done just over money.
I finally made it to Costa Rica, I was picked up from the airport on Sunday, and I was in the dental chair Monday a.m. and in surgery Monday at 2:30 pm under the care of a Board Cert Anesthesiologist, as well as a Endodontist, and Oral Maxiliofacial Surgeon all three working, they had me under for over 5 hours and 45 min..and they did the following.
8 root canals
4 extractions ( 3 surgical)
Crown prep on 16 teeth, shaving and trimming the teeth and removing all decay
Impressions for crowns
while they were doing all of this my temporary crowns were being made across the street at their own dental lab, ( most all US dentist have to send off for your crowns)
Once I came to, I had a set of temp crowns on all bottom and top teeth left which was 16 teeth, a bridge/partial are being made as well.
I was supposed to have my implant procedure begin but the doctor consulted me and they have to do a sinus lift due to the absence of bone in the back lower and upper jaw. This will happen on my next trip here.
My room and board which I will go into more detail later were exactly as described. I was at Maria's Village, a wonderful lady who cooks meals to suit your dental issues so you are well fed and stay hydrated. While staying with her I was impressed by the out pouring of compassion she has towards every patient in her care. She even took time to take me to the local supermarket to help me pick up some light snack food and beverages of my liking. The cleanliness of the dental office was super impressive, they even have a " recovery room" next door with a huge 60+ inch flat screen TV and a Laptop right there and you were able to chill in a reclining couch/love seat as you sit and wait for the doctor.
I happened to need some fresh clean clothes when I woke up from being under and when I awoke I learned that they had already sent for me a fresh shirt and shorts at Maria's without me even having to request such,
If you have any major dental issues, and cannot afford the US prices, I highly advise you to give this a chance, I have not one thing to say but positive, from the Airline to the Food and of course the fabulous treatment I have received thus far,
