This was an interesting article. The article talked mostly of how beneficial it is not to let children of preschool age watch too much television. Parents and guardians that allow children of this age to watch too much television it can lead to a lifetime of the child being a couch potato.
Too much television at such a young age could lead to childhood obesity. This is becoming a serious problem in the United States. Childhood obesity can lead to a lifetime of obesity and an untimely death.
I thought the article was beneficial to me, or anyone who reads it. I have never known that too much television in the early childhood could lead to a lifetime of bad habits the child might form. The information in the article was interesting and it appears to be factual.
The article was not based upon research. It was reviewed by a licensed physician who agrees with its contents.
Of course, there are probably licensed physicians that do not agree with its contents. One must take into account that it was not written by a licensed physician and then peer reviewed rather it was written by an average citizen and reviewed by a licensed physician.
The author of the article was perhaps a premed student or even a medical student and was written for an assignment. One must consider the contents of the article are important to parents today, but one must also remember to do further research of his or her own. There are other articles on the topic and one must consider reading a few to draw a non-bias conclusion after doing so.
