Experts have observed that
cockroaches are the main carriers that can cause Asthma and allergies  among people especially children. One of the
most common cause for Asthma in Children around the world is the house dust
mite, which live in the mattresses,pillows and carpets. The second common agent
is the cockroach. The excreta of 
cockroaches are the major source of allergen that cause asthma, says Dr.
Sanjeev Mehtha,Chest Physician, Lilavathy hospital Moombai. From 23% to 60% of
urban residents, are  found to be sensitive
to this allergen.

Cockroachs are reported to spread
33 kinds of bacteria,6 kinds of worms and at least 7 other human  viral and bacterial pathogens. Whenever  a Cockroach is seen in your house ,it is safe
to assume that at least 800 are hidden beneath  your closet, sink and kitchen cupboards,
according to experts.
