This is the story of the discovery of a simple substance that turns out to
to be the strongest killer of pathogens known. Jim Humble was
prospecting for gold in a Guyanan jungle when unexpectedly some of the men on the team
became sick with malaria. Far from help, he treated them with the „Stablised oxygen“
he had bought in a pharmacy or health store. They recovered. He started to treat many more cases of malaria and most recovered but not all. It was a man in Tanzania who discovered that adding vinegar to the solution in water cured all Malaria. Jim and his not always good friends travel to
Guinea in West Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone and Malawi to treat malaria for the most part. It was Malawi where they had greatest official support in treating malaria and AIDs. Although Jim contacted the WHO, their scientists only tested it on mice and declared it was invalid. There is one chapter devoted to the technical side: Stablised oxygen is a solution of Sodium Chlorite. It is alkaline but in water it becomes destabilised, that is, less alkaline and chlorine dioxide is created. In a weak organic acid like vinegar, the chlorine dioxide is generated faster. Once swallowed, chlorine dioxide is generated in the b ody and it is explosive, destroying pathogens as these exist in acid environments but having no effect on healthy cells. During the explosion the chlorine dioxide is also destroyed to a become harmless chloride like the chloride in common salt. Jim wrote the book to make this mineral available to as many people as possible. His primary interest is in curing malaria in Africa however.
