When driving, spotting young quails wanting to cross the road, what would you do?
For Arne Cohan, prompted by simple
kindness, she stopped to place the birds at safe place. When recalling, she still feels the warmth and fuzziness.
kindness is able to change a bad day into a special one - or change the way someone lives her life.
Richard Carlson says, “When you do something nice for someone, you’ll notice a beautiful feeling of ease and peace.” “Acts of loving kindness release the emotional equivalent of endorphins, the feel-good chemicals that flood your senses after exercise.”
Stephen Sinatra, a heart specialist and psychotherapist, says, “As a doctor, I can tell you that love heals the heart.” He also says that anger causes heart disease, whereas love and kindness make us calm.
Kindness may be a caring word or a grand gesture, but it is able to make us healthy and happy. It is very powerful too.
For instance, with the help of a generous benefactor, Ellen Brickman could study at her dream college. Ellen says, “It changed my life.” “It remains the most incredible thing anyone has ever done for me.”
As for Cilla Cain, the help of unknown identities enabled her to attend a convention at Chicago and also to find out new personal strengths. She says, “I couldn't believe it.” “It was like a fairy tale.”
Cultivating kindness is easy. Some of the examples are: making donations, thanking the bus driver, picking up rubbish on our path and so on.
Do a good act each day for a month and see how well you feel. Also, the world will be a better place.
