We all know that quitting smoking is for good,even more tougher for quitting smoking.Here comes a new vaccine NicVax that holds promise for the 90 percent of quitters who relapse.After Six monthly injections ,users of NicVax build up antibodies to nicotine,just like fighting against a disease.While smoking,the bloodstream is flooded with nicotine.The antibodies attach to the nicotine's molecules make them too big to cross in to the brain's pleasure centre.Thus the result :smoking buzz officially killed.NicVax does not act on the central nervous system,that may lead to side effects like dry mouth and difficulty sleeping.Nora Volkow,MD,of the( US)National Institute on Drug Abuse, tested and tried this first on many smokers thus to end the addiction relapse cycle.NicVax could be available as early as 2012.
