Put your worries aside and grab every moment that brings joy and happiness to lead a more peaceful life.


 


Spend more time with yourself.  Spend some time alone: read, reflect, go for a quiet walk.  Perhaps you can treat yourself to a day spa or a nice dinner and movie.  Don’t be apologetic about indulging yourself.


 


Master a new skill.  Learn to play a musical instrument or your skills an a new cuisine.  Mastering a new skill can open up new vistas for you.  It helps build capacity and improve cognitive functions of the brain too.  You relax and improve brain power


 


Get an energy ally.  Befriend someone who can encourage, understand and motivate you.  The kind of friend who can help you get around roadblocks and energize you when you need to.


 


Hangout with girlfriends if you are a girl, a boyfriend if you are a boy as it will reduce stress, boost self esteem and make you patient with your partner at home.  Women with social networks are known to have lower blood pressure and reduced risk of heart disease.


 


Smile at people at work, the mall or in the bus or metro.  As you begin the glorious day, begin it with smiles.  Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile, smile.  Staying happy can have a powerful impact on your physical health.


 


Make up for the first move to makeup with someone.  Perfect time to pick up the phone and call your friend or cousin you had a tiff with.  It’s always good to let go of the negative feelings and begin the day on a positive note.


 


Take a break.  Rev up to climb a mountain, enjoy a swim in the calm waters at a resort or learn how to surf.  Destress yourself, take time out from work, grab your riend or family and head for a mini break or a vacation.


 


Count 3 before reacting.  It is the best way to calm down under pressure.  Try it tat work with your parents or spouse is being difficult.  If you are the one at the receiving end every time, go ahead speak your mind.


 


Avoid brooding over loses.  Move on life springs many surprises.  Not all of them will be pleasant.  Don’t allow yourself to brood; it can lead to headaches or high blood pressure.  Stay happy, stay healthy.
