Michael Jackson will finally be cremated. The star, who died in his Beverly Hills out of cardiac arrest on June 25, will be rest in peace forever. The authority has released his body to his family, but they retained his brain for further tests, sources said. The funeral will be held on coming Tuesday.
Post mortem examinations including autopsy could not pin point the cause of his death, hence the authorities have decided to retain his brain for further study to make sure the cause of his death. They gave two choices to the family; one is to wait for three weeks by which time the tests on his brain would be over, and the other choice is to cremate him now leaving the brain with the coroner’s custody.
Craig Harvey, the spokesperson of the Los Angeles coroner’s office confirmed that neuropathology tests would be conducted on his brain to ascertain the exact source of his death. It is necessary to wait for sometime for the brain to harden for slicing purpose that is why the tests were not done so far, it was stated. The brain can show any past exploitation of alcohol or suffering from any disease of a number of diseases. For carrying out tests of brain, it is necessary to remove the brain from the body, which has been done, reported the coroner’s office. The whole idea is to test the tissues of the brain. No time limit has been specified for the test and result, quoted by the Mirror.
The usual suspect for his death is the overdose of painkiller medicines.
