The bone is a  living, growing tissue.
Most bone mass accumulate during adolescence.
There is a minor increase
until less than 30 years of age.
After 30 mass is lost due to several factors.
Menopause and decrease of estrogen speed up loss.Bone metabolism involves numerous nutrients
Calcium and magnesium (2:1 ratio), vitamin D, vitamin K, boron, silicon, etc.
 An overlooked issue
Risk of women suffering from bone fracture over the course of life is 40%
Yet 85% of women do not believe they are at risk
 There is an optimal bone mass that must be attained before 30 years of age; after 30, decline starts. One must reach optimum mass so that density will not reach osteoporotic levels
 What is Osteoporosis?
It literally means "porous bones."
Bones become fragile and break easily. It typically affects hip, spine and wrist.  Its prevalence is widespread.

An estimated 10 million Americans have osteoporosis
80% of osteoporosis cases are in women
