The acting legendary lady of the world of film stage and DVDs Vanessa Redgrave at 72 ... sang the song "Edelweiss" at the deathbed of her dying daughter actress ...Natasha Richardson age 45 who died as a result of her injuries at a Sking Trip!
The emotional rendition apparently was a repeat of Vanessa Redgrave's performance of this song "Edelweiss" from Rogers and Hammersteins SongBook ....... and the film ...Sound of Music ... a best seller internationally .... the reason Vanessa Redgrave repeated the song was because she had sung Edelweiss at her daughter's first wedding in 1990 .. to Robert Fox.
Liam Neeson Actor and husband of the late actress Natasha Richardson switched off the life support machine but Vanessa Redgrave sung the sung to her dying daughter before the switching off of the Life Support Machine.
Later that same week on Friday, Vanessa Redgrave - mother of the late actress and Liam Neeson husband of Natasha Richardson attended The Wake at the Irish American Historical Society in Manhatten New York USA. I suppose life has new meaning when a close friend or relative sings a song rendered in happier days ... great work!
