Raise children without stress, who grow naturally in happiness, intelligence, and perfect health. The
most important influence on a child’s life is the parents. If each parent’s attention flows from a very coherent consciousness, the child’s consciousness will naturally respond to and begin to partake of that same coherence.
Children depend on their parents for growth. Therefore, it’s essential that you, as parents, continue your own growth at a maximum pace, and maintain your own optimum health.
When you are feeling blissful, happy and rested, it will be easy to let your love flow to your children and to give them proper guidance. It will also be easier for them to pay attention to your guidance, to understand it, and to follow it. If there is an imbalance in the child, it often starts with an imbalance in the family structure itself. Often it is caused simply by the mother being tired. After all, parents can only give from what they have. If they are a reservoir of bliss and positive feelings, this overflows to the child. When parents and children stay rested, many health problems clear up or never even arise.
Maintain a good daily routine. 1. Go to bed early. 2. Wake up with the sun and give your child a daily abhyanga. 3 Practice the Transcendental Meditation technique with your family before school or work, and again in the early evening. 4. Eat a light breakfast; make the noon meal the largest meal of the day. The digestion is stronger at midday. Include all six tastes—sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent—in every meal. 5. Create a settled atmosphere before bed. Reading, listening to music, singing, or visiting is best. Avoid television right before bed.
The ideal time between pregnancies is from three to four years. The mother needs time for her physiology to recover and recuperate. This also gives the mother a chance to focus on one child at a time and give the child all the nourishment and care he or she needs.
