Poisonous playmate which feautered in the week was definitely an eye
opener for the parents.the subject of toxic chemical presence in toys
was justified by the scientific statistical data capture wherein even
the leading toy makers were put under the investigation lens.Lead as
they say,are usually mixed with paints which are then applied to the
toys.The plus is that these paints dry faster,have more color,sticks
better and doesnt peel off easily.The minus is that the health of baby
is adversely affected.problems like breathing disorder and genetic
issue leading to bigger deficiency which affects the brain could crop
up.the effect on babies are pronounced since their immunities arent as
developed as those of adults.Lead is also suspected to cause types of cancers.
Percentages of lead have also been found
in teethers and other stuffs which comes directly in contact with the
mouth.Though it is definitely not practical for toys to be completely
banned for this reason,we would have to take much care by washing the
child hands periodically,providing a balanced diet to build immunity
etc.
