Ana
Rukavina was a 29-years old journalist in political newspaper call Vjesnik. She
had leukemia and she died 2006.
Before she
died, she sent an e-mail to as many people she can with title “ŽELIM ŽIVOT” or “I
WANT LIFE”.
E-mail was
also published on her web site http://www.anarukavina.bloger.hr/
and in almost every newspaper and web site in Croatia.
She will probably stay alive if in Croatia we have Register of
voluntaries donors of a
bone marrow. After she died her mother, husband and her
friend’s journalists established the
Ana Rukavina Foundation and Register of
voluntaries donors of a bone marrow. Web site of Foundation is www.zaklada-ana-rukavina.hr.
In almost every town in Croatia people from Foundation
invited citizens to test their
blood and join the Register to help other people
be ill of leukemia.
Foundation also needs a lots of money to open blood
bank were will be conserved samples of donors. Singers are having concerts for
Foundation, children in schools are collecting money, companies and newspapers
are giving the share of theirs profits to Foundation.

Foundation with her name.
