The Incredible Hulk
Bruce Banner is in Brazil, seeking a cure to his unique disease which causes him to turn into The Incredible Hulk when he gets over-excited.Though the breakthrough seems very close,he is pursued by the military who try to use his special condition as a weapon they can use in wars.Bruce is on the run and comes back to USA where he tries to reunite with the love of his life,Betty Ross. The treatment he undergoes seems to be a success but when Bruce is pursued by The Abomination,a terrible beast whose uncontrolled agression causes havoc in the city,he is forced to call upon his inner self to save the city of New York from total destruction.
Though the story of the movie is a bit familiar to many of the fans of The Hulk, the screenplay is good enough to keep you on the edge of your seats right till the end.
I felt that the initial part of the movie where the military try to catch Bruce in the slums of Brazil has been shot to perfection. It takes us from the crooked streets of the country to a dingy cola factory(where the incredible hulk first makes an appearance) and finally ends with Bruce leaving the country and arriving in USA via Latin america.
Hats off the the graphic technicians who have created THE HULK.It really looks life like. The scenes towards the end of the movie where the hulk fights the abomination are so real that one can be forgiven for thinking that the tremendous creatures have actually taken over the city!!
Personally,i felt that some of the explanations given in the movie were a bit beyond me.I fail to see how a small quantity of the medication kills a person but when taken in larger quantities, makes him THE HULK.
The casting in the movie has been really good though i felt that the part of Betty Ross could have been played by someone other than Liv Tyler.Edward Norton can add this performance to his long list of characters that he had played to perfection. His portrayal of Bruce Banner,a scientist who is desparately trying to get get back to normalcy is indeed noteworthy.
i havnt seen any of the earlier movies of the hulk,so i cant compare it with them, but i ll give the movie a 7 on10...
