Batman - The Dark Knight

Movie Review by: Yonatan_Kra

The dark knight was hardly what I was expecting for.
I came to the cinema to see an action filled movie, where the good
guys kick some bad guys - get a little bit hurt on the way, but get over it, and come out triumphant.
This is not what The Dark Knight is about - this one, is a powerful movie that goes way beyond some super hero fantasy movie. It reflects some dark thoughts about our society and with it, combine the nice tricks batman knows...
So, what happens there? Batman keeps on being controversial, while making Gotham a safe place for most people. Then the Joker comes into view - a most unpredictable, sadistic and evil character that surrounds itself with the likes of him.
He proves that all plans are meant to fail in front of chaos. Order is just an illusion, and even when it seems plans fall into place - chaos shows up with the upper hand eventually. It was like it the whole time - the Joker destroyed and killed without intervention for most of the movie, and when he is finally caught, it seems it was only a part of his plan (which he explains as a natural chaotic course of things).
It might be that the director tried to show some of the thoughts 21st century people have, or may be even go farther and tell some of the frustration people feel when seeing the size of the terrorism the civilized world is trying to fight.
In the end, the good guys win, with a terrible price - not only in moral, but in human life and sacrifice as well. I would not spoil the movie, but it is highly recommended to watch.
