Meghna(Priyanka) is an aspiring model from Chandigarh.She comes to Mumbai with dreams in her eyes.But for those dreams to come true she has to pay a hefty prize,her moral values,she has to shed them to be successful.She touches the zenith and with it all the negative aspects of arrogance and heartlessness,A time comes when she is unable to handle her success and falls flat and has to start all over again.A role aptly portrayed by Priyanka taken from the real life of Shivani Kapur
Shonali (Kangana) is the child woman, she has it all,the successful Diva,the superb metamorphosis from caterpillar to a beautiful delicate butterfly. Obviously Madhur had to picturise the real life wardrobe malfunction of Carol and riches to rags story of Gitanjili on her, which she managed effortlessly.
Janet(a newcomer Mugdha)is a dark horse,She is a winner,She is Priyanka's advisor,friend and all in all,She accepts what life has to offer her and settles down after marrying her gay friend,who is a designer and give up modeling. A superb performance.
A message of the film is very clear, all that glitters is not gold and all the sparkling models are sad, lonely and broken people ready to climb on anyone's toes to be successful.But the main message is for those middle class small town aspirants, be ready to compromise nd leave your middle class values and moralities if you want to rule the fashion world. No room for men though
All in all a watchable movie as all other Madhur's movies are.
