Actually, my review is about a song, whose video should be out by now. Obama be thy name is the title of a track by
a very talented Kenyan called Makadem, who happens to be President Barack Obama's tribesmate. A Luo. The song's delivery is very strong and the arrangement very proffessional. For a song that took barely a fortnight to produce, I think it in itself just voted Obama in.
The song is an encouragement to the American voter to vote for Barack Obama, whether black or white, young or old. It further asks them to make 'Obama thy name'. Being a reggae track, it captures the entire spirit that the world had for that defining moment in America. The songster goes further to mention all the states in America, urging voters to pour out and fulfil the dream.
Makadem did not just compose the song for Obama because he is a Luo..! The whole world was singing the Obama miracle and all he did was capture it in superb beats and a nice tempo and vocals. 'Obama be thy name' is one song that will stupefy you. I can not wait for the video...
