abhimaan is my favorite film,not because it had my best actress Jaya
Bacchan and hero amitabh,but due to the story line and the songs.It was released in year 1973 at that time amitabh was not a super star but jaya was.The film is about two singers there struggle and love and clashes of attitude when both were on top of there carrier.
Amitabh was a successful singer and he had a great hold in music industry once he was on a tour to a village and heard jaya singing a sanskrit strotra,and as he was a music lover he was impressed.he convinced her father and finaly they married.This was the time of an immortal song sung at there birthday party "teri bindiya re.........."People heard jaya singing and finaly she started her singing carrier and she got a lot of success in it.this was the time which started to build an idea of insecurity inside amitabh's mind and
resulted in frequent quarrel and discussion in which jaya was almost silent in every case.this resulted in breakup and jaya returned to village and they started living seperate but due to this break up amitabh's carrier was almost finish and started realising the need of jaya and went to her village here jaya was like a living dead body almost over no voice no expression.Finaly they started a new life together without any
abhimaan and it lasted with another great song
