Winslett on her success in
Hollywood Oscars in the USA and Winslett confirms Brown's notion of British Film as The Best In the World .... I must admit too Winslett looked good in her outfit blogged from Hollywood Oscar by ITN.
A narrator was commenting on the Clothes scene and she seemed unusally pleased with the turn out and felt there was a return to Old Style Glamour ... I often question the notion of the term "Old Style" and wonder if she meant back to the past or echoing the clothes of the dim and distant stars of the Hollywood Oscar Past ........... still the Young Lady never did clarify either way. However there was one cryptic remark where she commented that Sharon Stone should focus on her age ... as she was wearing a /see through/outfit ... I assume she was referring to "transparent" ... maybe she wore it because she wanted to draw attention to herself and in so doing at least she got the commentary turned her way. Thanks ITN for the blog and Congratulations to Slum Dog Millionaire on its 8 Oscars and on Kate Winslett on her l Oscar ... I gather the latter had been nominated more than once on previous occasions. Sean Penn got a mention .. wonder what he got!
Reminds me of my humble attempts several years ago to get the award as I was Nominated: Poet of the Year in America on more than one occasion .. still I can do a Kate Winslett on that I guess and I will be winning if I do .. nice work ...
