slumdog millionaire This is the film that brought smile on many a face
especially indians since its based on the country's economic capital mumbai . The film is about a slum kid who wins 20 million in a gameshow. The quizmaster gets him arrested thinking he has cheated and police starts to investigate him to find out whether he is cheating or not. The hero of this film
jamal's life is unveiled before him. Each part of his life is clue for each question, starting from the childhood to his teenage. Jamal a slum kid who becomes a millionaire is actually not after the money but after his life, his true love and is put to lot of test ,misery to get to this stage of his life .
Jamal lose his mother when he was just a child because of communal violence which takes place in his slum, with no other choice he and his
brother salem are forced to flea from their home and on the way jamal takes petty on a little girl
latika and takes her with them and thus the journey begins which is full of sorrow and humiliations. Jamal ,salem and latika were taken shelter by this evil gay who makes them beg and blinds children to make more money , because of salem's clever thinking jamal escapes the terrible fate of being blind . But latika was left behind to the mercy of those people who later use her. Jamal and salem find their way to delhi where they trick tourist and manage to make some living out of it finally they return to the city which has changed on the outside but not on the inside they find latika only to find her in a terrible state worse than theirs. Here salem kills the villan and saves latika and his brother for him , but he joines the enemy group to become a gangster himself after a few years passed jamal who is now a teenager is working a Chai Wala ( a stuart) in a call centre and he finds his brother and love of his life both trapped under the curtain of evil , he wins the game and gets the money, his true love but at the same time he loses his brother at the end.
This story is superb and deserves every award it got and especially the music its very nice, it enhance every emotion in a fresh new way , the city mumbai has played a very important role in this film and the cast is great , Dev patel is awesome and plays his part well
