When Mani Ratnam set out to make ‘ Dil Se’ he was probably thinking in Tamil. Simply since while the concept is good, the
essence of the film seems to have been lost in translation. A radio jockey falling in love with a female terrorist forms an
intriguing script no doubt, yet the
execution of this seems to be a little off the mark.
What’s redeeming is the music and Priety Zinta’s absolutely lovable portrayal of her character. Dil se is a film, that’s been made dil se, no doubt, yet whether it touches your dil is something that only you can decide.
