Valkyrie is all about a plot to kill the dreaded dictator
Hitler. As we all know the plot
failed. Nevertheless, director Bryan Singer
tried to give suspense. This is a very
sensitive story, hitherto untold. Some
of the high ranked Nazi generals were plotted a conspiracy to kill the Hitler.
They were failed and later killed.
The story is about Hitler and that also is untold, draws too
much attention. However, the director failed to cash on this enthusiasm. This type
of sensitive movies have always been a problem from the view of the director as
you have to show the war on big canvass which demands space in the film then
you should also not forget the basic theme of the film. Singer tries to do this
but he failed.
This film is also in news because of the association of Tom
Cruise. He played the main role but the other old men in the team do not look
quite well. They looked at best as a reconstruction of the events from History
Channel. Anyway, Tom Cruise performed very well and as usual his dialogue
delivery and body language is superb.
This film is about a plot that needs to be known to the
general masses and thus this is a film worthy of trying. However, film itself
does not stand to the expectation that was there about this. The greatest
weakness with this film is lack of definitive direction and intensity; in fact
this is also the main weakness of the original Valkyrie plot.
