Frank Abagnale, Jr. has a very extra-ordinary talent: he can impersonate a teacher, an airline pilot, a medical doctor, a
lawyer, among others. And he is only eighteen. He is also an expert forger of documents. He can wiggle out of tight situations using his head, baffling and infuriating the lawmen hot on his heels. His elusiveness pisses off FBI agent Carl
Hanratty (portrayed by Tom Hanks) in particular, who launches a manhunt for the conman. Frank falls in love with Brenda Strong and asks to marry her. His father recognizes Frank for what he is, but seems to sympathize with his son-in-law. The lawmen catch up with Frank on his wedding day but he escapes. He becomes embittered and dares Hanratty to catch him. In time, Frank gives up but his skills as a forger justified his being immunity and his being used by the law to catch other
criminals.
