Roger Watters - The Wall Live in Berlin

Movie Abstract by: Secrets

What makes this album so famous? It wasn't Pink Floyd's regular style, then why people give "Another brick in the wall"
as an example for Pink Floyd's song whenever they are asked about the band?
The album contains a great story inside it. Being able to tell such a story through songs and music is impressive enough, but Roger Watters also made a beautiful concert that shows the story in a stronger way than anything before, including the official movie.
The album begins in an intrudoction song, performed by the Scorpions. The song take us back to the begginning of the story:
Pink experienced a lot of sufferings in his life. His father died in the WWII when he was a child. He was left with his mother only, who was over protective and actually he felt as a prisoner in his own home.
At school the teacher used to hit and humiliate his pupils, and even though Pink's mother was so protective, she couldn't help him when he actually needed her support.
At last he got matured and broke free from his mother and from school. But he became a lonely man who use to wonder for hours about the suffering of the war.
The last straw was when Pink's wife betrayed him and ran away. He wasn't able to take it, and in his moment of weakness he decides to build a mental wall that will protect him from everyone else in the world.
He separated himslef from the rest of the humans and felt extremely lonely. Everyone in his life failed him, and he come to the conclusion that humans are weak and easy to control. Pink joins a Neo-Nazi organization, and waits to pay back for everything he went through.
In the end of the album Pink finally realize what he got himself into, and he stand to a trial where he is being judged by himslef for the way he hurted his mother and wife when he put them against the wall of his.
Think for yourselves, now. It could happen. Pnik became to a Nazi monster, but in a strange way, this undestandable considering his story. There is a reason this is such an important album. It conves an important message. We could easily stop the madness only by being there for whoever needs us in his hour of need.
