Lady was a pampered cocker
spaniel who lived in a fancy Victorian mansion. Tramp was a scruffy-looking mutt who roamed the
streets looking for action. The movie
Lady and the Tramp is one of the great Disney classics. The canine characters are memorable and the soundtrack incredible (best song: “He’s a Tramp” written and sung by Peggy Lee). Even though this film was originally released in 1955, it’s a great family movie even today.
Ever since she popped out of a present under the Christmas tree, Lady the puppy got all the love and attention she ever wanted…until her owner’s, Jim Dear and Darling, had a baby. Suddenly Lady found herself feeling forgotten and unloved. Even her friends, Jock (a Scottish terrier) and Trusty (a bloodhound) can’t cheer her up. To make matters worse, Aunt Sarah comes to visit, bringing her two trouble-making Siamese cats. With her home in turmoil, Lady escapes to the
streets to hang out with Tramp. Their exciting adventures – from their moonlit spaghetti dinner behind Tony’s Italian cafe to Lady’s lock-up in the city pound – are absolutely timeless entertainment.
