Sydney White starring Amanda Bynes as Sydney , Sara Paxton as Raechel Witchburn and Matt Long has its story on parallel lines
with Snow White. After the success of Cinderella story Warner Bros have made an attempt to bring out the same success here but sadly their efforts are not as fruitful.
Sydney is a tomboy, the daughter of a plumber, paves her way to Southern Atlantic University and joins the Kappa
sorority just as her mother did. Sydney gets into the bad books of Raechel when she spots her talking to her boyfriend. Raechel tries to payback in a much dearer way. She declares Sydney publicly unfit to be a member of kappa sorority claiming that she hasn’t fulfilled the pledge of the house-equivalent of sending Snow White to the forest. How the dorks(dwarfs) help Snow White to repay Raehel in the same coin is the rest of the story.
Not a very good movie but can be watched once for a time pass. The comedy is feeble and the story is dull . the similarity between Snow White and Sydney is hardly perceptible. But it is slightly motivating and helps create a positive and pleasing diversion that caters the geek in all of us.
