Land of the Lost is a comedy film and played by an actor Will Ferrell as Rick Marshall. Rick Marshall is a Palaeontologist
Scientist and being interviewed by Matt Lauer on the show (The Today Show), he was promoting his book about the theory of time warps but due to the trouble of attacking Matt Lauer, he was kicked out of the science department and work as a teacher for the children. Meanwhile, After 3 years of teaching he meet a woman who is also interested on the
amplifier that he is working on. The device is called Tachyon amplifier and this woman (Holly Cantrell) is encouraging Rick
Marshall to finish his invention. Holly Cantrell is also a Palaeontologist Scientist who found the a fossil imprinted with the image of his lighter and from her study the fossil is already a thousand years old. Rick finally finished the Tachyon Amplifier they have decided to go to the Devils Cave where Holly found the fossil. They also meet Will who acts as a tour guide. They went to the Devils cave and while inside the cave Rick Marshall activates the device and he's picking up a huge signal inside the cave which cause an earthquake and the three of them went into a time warp which was created by the amplifier. The three of them wake up in a dessert and not knowing where they are. They saw 3 Pakuni and trying to kill one of them. Before this 1 of the Pakuni to be killed, they have decided to save the Pakuni. The Pakuni name was Chaka. Rick and Chaka have an argument and chasing each other but they end up on a cave which also known as feeding grounds of a Tyrannosaurus. This Tyrannosaurus suddenly appear and chases them but they able to scape when they reach the cave. On the next day, they saw a strange light outside the cave and suddenly Rick has a visions about a strange creature whose asking help from him. They went down to the cave and found a strange glass which was also heavily guarded by strange creature which also know as Sleestaks. Sleestaks attack them but the glass suddenly open and they went inside the glass. They saw the creatures who is in Marshall visions. The creature name is Enik and tells the story about the evil Zarn whose plan is to conquer the universe. Enik requested to find the amplifier so that the evil plan of Zarn will be stop. After talking to Enik, Chaka takes them to a place where a feeding ground of other type of dinosours. An ice cream man came out of know where and being attack by these dinosour. 2 Tyrannosaurus suddenly appear on the feeding ground and scare them all. These 2 Tyrannosaurus is about to start a fight but they both catch Rick Marshall's scent and start chasing him. Rick found a nitrogen tank able to feed to the female Tyrannosaurus and freeze her to death and exploded. After exploding they saw the amplifier but Pteranodon took it away from them. Rick Marshall almost lost hope on getting the amplifier back the group able to convince Marshall to go with them. They went to a volcano where Pteranodon dinosaur is living. They able to get the amplifier and takes a break at a motel in the abandon places. While Marshall, Will and Chaka having some fun in the pool, Holy able to fix the amplifier and followig the signal comming from the amplifier. She also found this strange glass and went inside. She finds dinosour eggs and accidentally activate the hologram from Zarn, Holly found the truth that Enik is the true villian. When Marshall, Will and Chaka wakes up, they realize that Holly is missing. They went out and search for Holly. While searching for Holly, these two Sleestaks where about to mate who remove their skin. Marshall and Will use the skin of Sleestaks as a disquise themselves while Chaka when back to the forrest to get Enik.
Marshall and Will able to get inside the chamber where Holly is about to be executed but suddenly found out that Enik is the true trator. While fighting to the Sleestaks, Enik and his army arrived and reveal his true plan using the amplifier. Enik leave them in the chamber while Crumpy(Tyrannosaurus) arrives to get Marshall. Marshall fight him but end up eaten. Holly, Chaka and Will decided to get Enik and stop him from using the amplifier. They encounter a fright with this creature but suddenly Crumpy showed up but this time Marshal is with him and they are fighting the Sleestaks together. They finally have their peace with each other thats why they fight together. Marshal and the other make it through the glass and fight Enik. While stoping them. One of the crystal was boken which make the portal is about to close permanently. Will decided to stay so that Marshall and Holly will be able to go home. At the end Marshall and Holly made it back home.
