This is a
compelling story of a boy and his adventures.
The start of the film
established the important role of Carl
Fredricksen's dreams in his life. At first it has led him to Elle, his future wife and an avid adventure-seeker herself. As they got married and the realities of living in the real world set in; their lifelong dream always took the backstage as they attend to more practical and urgent matters.
The writer
personally admired how it depicts each person's life in a much more exaggerated yet kid-friendly manner. It tells the viewers how they too can experience adventure in their lives; how they can follow their hearts'desire no matter what people and circumstances throw at them. There is no age limit at all.
Russel, the wilderness explorer also played an important role. He does not only represent a kid's genuine character; he also serves as reminder of how adults can learn so much from little ones like him. He is naive, yet he is smart. He is the perfect complement to Carl's character.
Overall, the movie is fantastic. Complete with a house-flying balloons, gigantic birds, talking dogs and paradise falls; this is a must-see for kids as it gives them a sense of what lies ahead and for adults as it makes them see the bigger picture of life.
