Bruce Willis is back as John McClain, and this time he is in a Washington, D.C. airport waiting for his wife to land. Before
she can, terrorists take over the airport and take control of the command tower, disallowing the planes to land. In a race against time, McClain has to stop the terrorists before the circling planes run out of fuel and crash, and before the terrorists get away with their goal.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder has a lot of good action scenes, much like the original, including one where Willis drives around on a snowmobile. However, this time, it is a little less believable to see McClain as the lone hero, since he''s in an airport, not a skyscraper. There are multiple ways in and lots of police officers.
The movie makes McClain''s solo adventure fairly realistic, but in the back of your mind there are a lot of nagging questions. After terrorists take over the airport, you would think that the first thing the officials would do is clear out all of the civilians in the area. The civilians are really never put in harm''s way, but it seems like the logical thing to do. Furthermore, since the terrorists merely have control of the command tower and not the airport itself, police would be showering the area, looking for the terrorists all over the place. There is none of that.
