Reynolds 18th Century England writer Bruce Reynolds ... the
Dilitannti .. sounds familiar .... wasnt that a portrait of Joshua Reynolds all those years ago I witnessed at the London Gallery or was it some well meaning artist such as myself painting out the past in picturesque images of magnetic magnitude with a full time job to do at the same time.
The visits to the Gallery in London are often forgotten were it not for the
California Literary Review a prompt I hearsay gainsay it all but then I visited the London Gallery with an Aged One a member of the Elderly Set a full time member of the Famous Literary Club which I too was a member .. I heard my friends say ... isnt it about time you started mixing with us .. i.e. people of your own age .. you are always knocking about with The Old People! Well! I guess I stood firm and said I was an Old Girl Myself .. at 30 something .. you are not going to drag us all back to voluntary work! I didnt but I was often in company with
The Guardians who were Old in those days and I got used to it .. I was only 5 and out with the Guardian to see the movies ......... isnt she a cute little girl .......... they were referring to Debbie Reynolds and the star of the film .. Gene Kelly in our favourite movie of the time ... Singin In The Rain ..
