''Night At The Museum 2: Battle of the
Smithsonian'' originated from the closure of the Museum of Natural History for the
renovation. Historic objects in it were transferred to the
Smithsonian as a complex of the world''s largest museum, located in Washington DC.
Problems at the Smithsonian began when Kah Mun Rah (Albert Hank Azaria), brother of Akhmenra (Rami Malek) tried to seize the previous tablets stolen by Capuchin monkey. Tablet Akhmenra property could make the statues come to life around at night. Kah Mun Rah intend to rule the world by using these tablets to open the gates of hell.
Larry Daley (Ben
Stiller) is now the CEO of Devices Daley came to save ''friends'' length from the threat of Kah Mun Rah. Not only saved, Larry had to return them to the Museum of Natural History.
The uniqueness of ''Night At The Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian'' that is the presence of many world leaders. Among them, Christopher Columbus, Napoleon Bonaparte, Al Capone, and Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), the first woman to fly across the ocean of Atlantis.
Not stop there, the director Shawn Levy is also showing some fictional character. Like Dart Vader from "Star Wars" and Oscar the Grounch ''Sesame Street''.
Element of comedy in this film treats the stronger with fresh jokes typical Ben Stiller. Coupled with the appearance of Albert Hank Azaria very silly with a thick British accent.
